RECOMMENDATIONS

The HINCare platform performs automatic matching to recommend helpers whose skills fit the elderly needs better and faster.

CROSS-FACULTY COOPERATION

The HINCare project involves cross-disciplinary expertise and participation. Joint efforts of academics from Computer Science, Social Work and management staff from NGOs providing elderly care services are involved in the project.

TIMEBANK

Timebank is an application which allows the elderly to store time credits in a special bank account. For this, Timebank users and volunteers have to be matched. HINCare makes this matching procedure more intelligent by using a Heterogeneous Information Network (HIN).
